A good example of a Comet dinghy for sale as I have changed classes

In this dinghy I have won the Redditch Sailing Club Tuesday evening series and won several of the Sunday morning pursuit and handicap series, the boat has taken me from Bronze to Gold fleets with lots of podiums on the way.

The boat comes with a lightweight aluminium trolley (new April 2024) by Admiral trailers making the boat easy to launch and recover.

The entire rig was replaced in April 2024 

The rig is the current “Race spec” as supplied on new Comets

All of the blocks on the controls are ball raced again new in April 2024, the cleats for the kicker, Cunningham & Outhaul were also replaced with new items in April 2024.

The sail was new in April 2024 it’s the Comet extra sail with a zipped luff meaning the mast can be left up and the sail hoisted like a conventional sail on a halyard making the boat much easier to rig than a Laser or Topper no need to lift a mast with a flapping sail into or out of your boat.

The boat also comes with the original larger rig and the mino rig, in effect there are three rigs with this boat to suit all conditions, sails mast sections and boom included.

The cover supplied by Comet was manufactured by rainandsun.co.uk  and again was new in April 2024 

 The leading and trailing edges of the rudder and dagger board are free of major dinks.

The boat is watertight with the hull coming out of the water dry, which can be confirmed by opening the inspection hatch.
